Images that require improvement

I have selected the image above because the camera wasn't positioned properly and therefore resulted in the focus being wrong as well. The models eyes are also looking too far right which I believe makes the image look wonky.

I have selected the image above because although it has good focus, the positioning is a bit off. However the main fault in the image, i believe, is the ring because the ring is very distracting and out of place.

I have selected this image because the camera was entirely out of focus and therefore the image being extremely blurry. You can also see shadows from the camera which covers spots and makes the image look very unprofessional.

AO3: Record ideas, observations and insights relevant to intentions, reflecting critically on work and progress.

For this shoot I wanted to focus on the eyes by placing spots around the eyes and photographing only that area. I believe this shoot was successful as I have gotten some good photos out of this. My polka dots are a much nicer shape and are set out much better than previous shoots. Focusing on one area has been much better as its a lot harder to make mistakes with the polka dots; For example smudging. I also used my hand as another focus, however hands are more prone to smudging and therefore the circles and my hand looks messy. To progress and these shoots I may experiment with a different media, which is less prone to smudging, to create my circle patterns. I wish to create some makeup looks which also incorporates curves as well as circles.

AO2Explore and select appropriate resources, media, materials, techniques and processes, reviewing and refining ideas as work develops.

To further refine my work I will be using Photoshop; In Photoshop my main focus will be to make sure all the circles look neat and uniform and to remove any smudges. Overall to also make the image look more appealing.

AO1: Develop ideas through sustained and focused investigations informed by contextual and other sources, demonstrating analytical and critical understanding.

In my research I have found that images I would like to work from are using polka dots to create a finished make up look, however mine are just decorated spots around the eye area. In future shoots I want to use spots using make up to create a more finished look incorporating spots.

AO4: Present a personal and meaningful response that realises intentions and, where appropriate, makes connections between visual and other elements.
